What is the Community Hub®?
A large space doubling as the office of local real estate brokers, Ray and Theresa Shay. The Community Hub offers a place for leaders and volunteers to meet without any cost attached. The Shay’s belief in the power of volunteerism inspired the creation of an office that serves a dual purpose.
“Every community in the free world needs a hub,” is their shared philosophy. They’ve designed large, beautiful spaces where volunteer groups can come together, free of charge. The original Hub is thriving in 4S Ranch. The Hub is a gift to any community. The Rancho Penasquitos neighborhood is the most recent recipient.
Who can use the Community Hub®?
The Community Hub offers a place for community leaders and volunteers to meet for free. Teacher, coaches, school groups and other volunteer organizations now have a place to gather. The ample space can be reserved in advance, unlike tables in the local coffee shops. Drop ins are always welcome. Any not-for-profit group of 25 or fewer seeking a gathering space can use the Community Hub. If you are looking for a place to do business, check out our new shared workspace innovation.
